Octagonal Pyramid
Description
The octagonal pyramid structure for the headquarters of Canol in Santorso (Vicenza), featuring a Schüco FWS 60 system, is over 7 metres wide and approx. 1.80 metres high. It’s split into 16 fixed glass panels, and is completed with low-E selective safety double glazing.
The special lantern, over one metre in diameter and 60 cm high, was manufactured by Nicolli following the drawings of the designer. Its protrusion opening mechanism is driven by 3 piston motors, with two rails for stability during the opening movement.
